Draw With Me…
Thanks for stopping by to draw a popsicle with me today! We’re gonna have some fun with this cute drawing, and I’m going to have you draw with me, step-by-step. Before we get started, you will need at least three things:
- Paper
- Pencil
- Crayons
Now that you have your supplies, get into a comfy spot where you can have a hard surface to draw and color. Sitting at a table or desk works best, but try using a lap desk if you need something else.
OK. Now you’re all set. Let’s start the adventure and let’s get doodling!
An Accidental Invention by an 11-Year-Old

In 1905, 11-year-old Frank Epperson from San Francisco unintentionally created the first popsicle. He left a mixture of powdered soda and water, with a stirring stick in it, on his porch overnight. The cold night caused the mixture to freeze, and the next morning, Frank discovered a frozen treat on a stick. He initially named it the “Epsicle,” a combination of his name and “icicle.” Years later, his children persuaded him to rename it “Popsicle,” reflecting the term “Pop’s ‘sicle.”
